The modules listed below can be employed as stand-alone applications
by smaller or medium-sized enterprises or departments as well as in the
general context of the overall workflow system.
Workflow Engine - With the aid of the workflow configuration tool
(project sheet), pre-defined, abstract workflows are adapted at run-time
according to the specific order requirements and are transferred to the
workflow engine as instances. The engine subsequently creates jobs that
are independent of each other which can be worked on by employees or
machines in due time.
Integration
- In order to seamlessly integrate not only employees, suppliers and customers, into your own workflows
but also internal and external third party systems (e.g. SAP), or machines (e.g. encoders),
you can define any interfaces in any format (web-services, files etc.) via Enterprise
Application Integration (EAI). So, not only services from a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
can be integrated in an easily modifiable way, but also proprietary systems. The interface chaos
of the previous decades can finally be replaced with a central generic Interface Repository.
Scheduling - The scheduling module monitors the workflow activities,
steers projects or individual jobs and makes possible aggregated or detailed
views of the resources of an enterprise with the help of various screens and reports.
Media Archives - The output of media production processes - the
data carriers and their contents - are administered in the archive, check-out
and stock modules and are placed at the disposal of the production process.
To achieve this all relevant data, be it the names, bar codes, audio tracks
or labels, are indexed or produced.
Document Management - This integrated module permits the non-standardized
web, team and version based handling of documents parallel to workflows.
If necessary, it can produce office documents out of the production process,
e.g. a DVD flowchart.
Order Administration - The object-oriented order administration
module delivers standardized price lists, quotes, and produces automatically
generated invoices and individual budget vs. actual comparisons.
Customer Login - Customers can log on to the system over the web
like normal users, and can get a real-time overview of their orders,
co-operate in workflows, use the integrated groupware functions, browse
the archives, edit or release documents or call current reports. Most
functions are permitted as read-only and also only if explicitly approved.
Master Data - Customers and contact persons, departments, machines,
employees and their free times (vacation, illness) etc., all elementary
data and resources are administered here.
